THE FLYING SPOTS AROUND DAVOS

The mountains around Davos are very suitable for paragliding in many weather conditions. Thanks to the many mountain railroads on both sides of the valley, even pilots who dislike walking to the launch site are rewarded with rewarding and unique flights. Flying in Davos is not advisable only for powerful, supra-regional winds from the west to the northwest. Then, the lower layers of air on the valley floor turn into a laundry room, and landing becomes a matter of luck, even for experienced pilots. In addition to the mountains accessible by cable car, there is a wide range of hiking & fly options.

There are few limits to the imagination, you can find some suggestions here. The flying area works very well all year round. The great flights in winter, which make it possible to fly over the Jakobshorn as early as the end of January, are particularly well known. Or the fantastic soaring afternoons at Brämabüel, where you can land at the lower-lying launch site, which offers a unique playground.
